Lead Consultant


Chris Muhango is the Chief Executive, Lead Consultant and Trainer of TIG Marketing Consult (TIG).
As the Lead Consultant, Chris has offered advice and consultancy services in Market Studies, Product Development, Market Planning, Business Planning, Social Research, Event Management, Exhibitions and Media Planning to many organisations in the Public, Private and Non Governmental sectors.
In an effort to develop a Customer Care culture in Uganda, Chris as the Lead Trainer, has organised and conducted tailor made and open training programmes in Customer Care, Front Office Management, Public Relations, Effective Marketing, Coaching Team Management, Salesmanship, Enterprise Development, Effective Communication, Presentation Skills, Customer Relationship Management and Key Accounts Management. By the close of 2003, more than 1200 clients had benefited from these training programmes that aim at equipping individual and organisational capacity to win, attract, serve and retain customers.
In 2003, Chris made a spectacular presentation on “Managing Customer Loyalty in the Era of Cut throat Competition” during the British Council Management Forum meeting in Kampala. The presentation which was attended by over 300 chief executives, managers and top elite class in Kampala was acclaimed as one of the best presentations hosted by the British Council in Uganda.
Chris is a highly qualified person. He was awarded the status of a Chartered Marketer by the prestigious Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2000 profession, and authorised by the Institute’s Council to use the designatory letters “ MCIM” after being elected a Full Member of the United Kingdom professional marketing body. He is considered for promotion to the Fellowship of the CIM. He holds a Masters degree in Business Management from Nagpur University, India among other qualifications. He is currently handling a Ph.D research in Marketing.
To promote the learning and practice of the Marketing Profession in Uganda, Chris played the pioneering role in the formation and eventual launching of the Marketing Professionals Association of Uganda (MAP-U). In recognition of his efforts and potential, Chris was elected and is the current chairman of MAP-U.
Chris is naturally a Business Manager who believes in competition, quality services and market driven approach to management. He worked as a Marketing Manager for Uganda’s Leading Dairy Processing and Marketing body. During his tenure as the Marketing Manager for Dairy Corporation, he was responsible for sales and distribution, schedule development, revenue management, brand management and export drives to Kenya, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. He also worked for Foods & Beverages LTD, and served as a marketing specialist for appropriate technology for a USAID funded project involved in agricultural development and marketing.
